PUNE: Fortune favoured the brave and beleaguered
Chennaiyin FC. They needed only a draw against FC Pune City to qualify, but went one better as their striker Jeje Lalpekhlua blasted home in the 64th minute, taking the team into the semifinal of the Indian Super League here at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports complex on Sat urday evening. The win took their tally to 22 points and they ascended to second spot by virtue of superior goal difference than Goa and Delhi who too have an identical tally.
The final positions will be decided after the concluding league fixture on Sunday which features Delhi and Goa.
